You can either call me Shannon or Shay, either one works for me :)  I am currently engaged to my fav guy who I’ve been with for almost a decade. I saw him on stage with his band and instantly had a crush... I knew I had to have him, so after his show I went up to him and asked him to go on a date with me. I always say - we hung out for the first time and then we just never stopped.

By evening and weekend i'm doing my photography, but on a normal weekday you can find me doing my SAHM duties, hanging out with my fav people in the world - my daughters. Our toddler is just... everything. The princess of our world, the light of our lives with a smile that just melts us to pieces. My youngest was born at the very beginning of this year in January, due new years day but came a few days late. She is my little twin, and the most beautiful, smiliest baby I've ever seen and i'm obsessed with her! The last puzzle piece to our family is our lil’ pup Molly. I say puppy but she’s actually an olddd gal. She’s just a little sausage with legs, the colour of Swiss Chalet gravy and she is so kissable it makes me grit my teeth just looking at her cause she’s so cute.

I grew up with a grandpa who I remember always having a camera on him, taking portraits of all of his grandkids constantly, so I like to think I got this creative photography side of me from him. I have been passionate about taking photos for as long as I can remember, and I’m lucky to say I've always known what I wanted to do with my life career-wise. I was that teenage girl carrying around a hot pink digital camera, taking hundreds of pictures of my friends, or making a friend model for creative portraits. I just loved creating art, and also capturing memories that people would want to remember, even if they didn't know it at the time. I remember when friends would complain about me always taking pictures, and I would tell them “You’ll be happy when you're older that you'll have all of these memories to look back on!” ...and I still feel the same way 100% about the photos I take now for all of my clients. 

At the end of the day, our past shapes our lives, and it made us who we are now.

But damn, does it go by fast.

There are so. many. fleeting. moments.

So many forgotten smiles. Forgotten feelings that looking at a picture can instantly bring right back up. Capturing those times, how we felt, who was important to us... that is the reason why I’m so passionate about what I do.
